Terms of use

Effective September 10, 2026. Launch terms. These terms govern use of TrailerBounty. Use the service only if you are at least 18 and can agree to these terms on your own behalf or for the carrier you represent.

What TrailerBounty provides

The platform helps authorized carriers submit missing-equipment listings and receive private sighting leads. A listing, approval or report is not proof of theft, ownership, possession, identity or wrongdoing. We are not law enforcement, an emergency service, a recovery operator, an insurer or an escrow service. Information may be incomplete or inaccurate; verify a lead and contact appropriate authorities before acting.

Safety comes first

Do not confront anyone, trespass, follow a vehicle, enter unsafe areas, touch equipment or attempt recovery. Do not use the service while driving. For immediate danger, contact emergency services. A report to TrailerBounty does not replace a police report.

Carrier responsibilities

You must be authorized to list the equipment, provide accurate information, have rights to all uploaded material, and promptly correct or close a listing when its status changes. Use business contact details suitable for the intended audience. Do not publish a person’s private information or accuse an identifiable person without proper grounds. Keep your credentials secure and notify us of suspected misuse.

Reports and uploaded material

Report only what you lawfully observed and describe uncertainty honestly. You give TrailerBounty permission to host, process and display your material only as needed to provide the service, review abuse and route reports to the responsible carrier. Public equipment photos require separate authorization. Report photos, exact location and reporter contact details are private to authorized participants as described in the privacy notice. Do not upload unlawful, infringing or unnecessary personal information.

Rewards and direct arrangements

Any reward is offered by the carrier under the terms it supplies. Carriers and finders decide eligibility, verify the information, coordinate any lawful recovery, resolve disputes and arrange payment directly. TrailerBounty does not hold or pay rewards and does not guarantee that a report qualifies, that a carrier will pay, or that equipment will be recovered. Obtain the carrier’s applicable reward terms before relying on an offer.

Pricing and billing

A proposed carrier plan is $19.95 per month for unlimited equipment listings. Paid subscriptions and recurring charges are not activated in this launch version. We will provide the complete price, renewal, cancellation and refund terms and obtain express agreement before offering a paid plan. Merely creating an account or listing does not authorize a charge.

Moderation and service availability

We may decline, limit, remove or suspend accounts, listings or reports to address inaccurate information, misuse, rights complaints, safety concerns or legal requirements. The service may change or be unavailable. It is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access, accuracy, recovery or payment, to the extent applicable law permits. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Follow the acceptable use and safety rules. Contact us to report an error, rights concern or moderation issue. Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the effective date, with additional notice where required.
