Acceptable use and safety

Effective September 10, 2026. TrailerBounty is for lawful, good-faith equipment listings and sighting reports.

• Stop in a safe place before using a phone. Never interact with the service while driving.
• Observe from a lawful, safe location. Never confront, pursue, threaten, trespass, enter a trailer, interfere with equipment or attempt recovery.
• Use emergency services for an immediate danger and contact appropriate law enforcement for a suspected crime. This site is not an emergency reporting channel.
• List only equipment you are authorized to represent. Describe what you know, what you observed and what is uncertain; do not invent a report or accuse a person based only on a listing.
• Do not upload faces, private papers, license documents or unrelated personal information unless necessary and lawful for the report. Never post someone else’s private location or contact details publicly.
• Do not scrape private records, bypass authorization, spam carriers or reporters, manipulate a vote, impersonate a carrier, publish malicious files or use rewards to coerce unsafe action.
• Carrier and finder communications, reward decisions and payment arrangements happen directly. Neither a promised reward nor a report makes unsafe action acceptable.

We may review and remove content or suspend access for misuse. Report a privacy or rights concern using the request form. For a listing correction, identify the equipment reference without including unnecessary personal information.
